Abstract

Aim of this study was the research into kinetics of microbiological decomposition of vinyl acetate by means of Pseiidomonas fluorescens PCM 2123. The research was carried out in a batch reactor for different initial concentrations of growth substrate and in a chemostat for different vinyl acetate concentrations in nutrient medium dosed. The collected experimental database made it possible to determine the kinetic equation constants (Andrew's equation) and the biomass yield coefficient.
