Abstract
Palmitic acid was esterified with n-octyl and iso-octyl alcs. in the presence of H2SO4 and phosphotungstic acid as catalysts at 393 K to 423 K to det. the reaction kinetics. Second order kinetics was found. The kinetic parameters were calcd.
